Where is it? Picture Quiz

Easy to read entertainment for lifelong travellers (or armchair travellers) now living with dementia or brain injury.

Can you guess where each travel snap was taken? Vibrantly illustrated quiz questions and bite-sized fun facts, presented in a respectful way, clearly for adults (fun for grandchildren too).

Each quiz page has a large colour photograph, with a quiz question and three possible answers. You can read this aloud to your loved one, or you can ask them to read and test you or another family member. It can be reassuring for them to be the person with the knowledge! Of course, the real gift is the conversation and reminiscence that the picture sparks, as you chat about places they’ve been, or places you’d love to go, and why.

The questions vary from easy to quite challenging, but when you look at the three possible answers, you can eliminate the wrong ones (a little shared mental workout!).

Short fun facts: Every 5 quiz pages, there’s an answer page with a mini fun fact for each question – long enough to be interesting, but not too long. (You can go straight to the answer page after each quiz question, if that works best for your loved one.)

Reviewers found this book fun, but a few found it too easy for a loved one with mild cognitive loss. It’s ideal for well-informed people who are now finding reading is a real challenge, but who still love books.

40 pages, 8 x 10 inches, extra large font for easy reading.
